Chosoft.NET – Dragon Ball Sparking: Zero. Characters from almost every period of Dragon Ball history, including the original series, the non-canonical GT, and the unpublished Daima, are purportedly included in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.
Dragon Ball fans have been ecstatic about the much-anticipated comeback of their favorite fighting series since Sparking: Zero was once believed to be called Budokai Tenkaichi 4. Since then, there has been no shortage of interesting news, such as the revelation that beam conflicts had returned after five years of progress.
The 16-year wait is nearly over.
By far the most exciting bit of news to follow Sparking: Zero’s gameplay reveal is that it’s going to have a “historic” roster size, meaning that it’s likely going to have even more than Budokai Tenkaichi 3 had. We got a glimpse of that during the latest trailer, as characters like Bergamo, Super Trunks, Jiren, and Cell were shown, hinting at how far the roster is going to go through Dragon Ball history.
It seems that Sparking: Zero is going to go a bit further than that, though, as a reliable Dragon Ball insider is claiming that the game will feature characters from some more unexpected Dragon Ball eras. We all expected Super and Z to be well represented but, according to Twitter user DbsHype, we’re also going to see characters from the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball: GT, and the unreleased series, Dragon Ball Daima.
GT isn’t such a surprise considering fan favorites like Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Baby Vegeta are from there, but it’s more of a shock to hear that the original Dragon Ball is going to see representation, as most of the characters there can’t fly and are a bit of a struggle to fit into the roster and usually missed out. Just take a look at XenoVerse.
The original Budokai Tenkaichi games had ways around this restriction, such as having Kid Goku use his tail to hover in the air a bit. Hercule, another non-flying character, was also given a jetpack to get around this.
Of course, the original Budokai Tenkaichi trilogy also included these characters, but it’s nice to hear that they’re reportedly making a return. The most interesting of all, though, is the claim that Daima will be included in the game as it will probably have only just been released by the time that Sparking: Zero comes out.
The Dragon Ball Daima reveal trailer also showed us that nearly everyone in Dragon Ball has been turned into a younger version of themselves, so it’ll be interesting to see how many of these make their way into Sparking: Zero, or if it’ll just be another version of Goku alongside a younger Supreme Kai. Either way, it’s great to hear that Daima will reportedly be in the game in some format.
